About Asvadha

Asvadha is a Sanskrit's translation to eat with relish, to enjoy. This website is a medium for me share the recipes of my mother's, mom-in-law's and the one's which I have learnt all these years through my friends and through books.

Being brought up in a cosmopolitan place like Hyderabad and links with the family in other parts of India, I've tried to learn other Indian cuisines through my mother. My mother is my foundation and so is my mother-in-law's patience and her knowledge base.

It is my conscious effort to post and share the recipes through Asvadha, mostly everyday cooked home food, sometimes exploring the other wonderful cuisines around the world.

I thank my husband, my best friend, for bearing me with my experiments, his love and encouragement. My kids most of all for giving me time, without which this wouldn't have been possible.

Comments are sure appreciated for all my posts. Try the recipes and do let me know how you liked it.

You can contact me through my e-mail asvadha@gmail.com

Hi Latha,

Thank you so much :) Lord Venkateshwara is my dearest God! I need his blessings for everything I do, so thought of putting his picture as good luck charm! Thanks for your wishes. I hope to maintain it.

Are there any Indian cooking shows on TV? Maybe the Food TV Network will get smarter and add a chef to their lineup!
